Amaneció así como así, de pronto llegó el día, y mi mujer oyó el agua brotar sobre los dos. Oscureció la noche llegó, teniamos comida y unos hombres se acercaron y bebieron del fogón. Pero mi sangre haló primero les dijo que tenía temor porque la muerte nunca me daría respiro para estar mucho mejor. Me hablaron de una vida distinta, del cielo y su color, del viento que torcía las plantas y del río soñador. Cantaron y se sorprendieron pues mi mujer lloró, ella decía que la tierra no se olvida del dolor. El fuego habló por ultima vez, mirabamos el día, y un hombre dijo que las vacas ya venían hacia aquí. Alguien corrió con fuerza infinita al bosque de ilusión y el barro negro fue testigo de silencios y dolor. Y ahora se que estuve cerca y que tal vez volví a nacer porque la muerte nunca te devuelve un suspiro pero la puedes vencer.
